Ending Processes in Windows Task Manager

How do I end a program or process in Windows Task Manager?
Answer:
To end a program in Task Manager, perform the following:
  1. To access Task Manager, try one of the following methods:
    • CTRL+ALT+DEL
    • CTRL+Shift+ESC
    • Right-Click the Taskbar
  2. Select Start Task Manager
  3. Select the Applications tab
  4. Select the program you wish to end
  5. Click End Task

Note: To view more information about any process running in Task Manager, right-click the process, and then click Properties. In the Properties dialog box, you can view information about the process, including the location and size. Click the Details tab to view detailed information about the process.
